Ages 15-18

These engaging upper level classes investigate contemporary life using a contemporary practice of art. Through experimentation in a chosen art form, these young artists use their acquired skills to create original works. Students develop personal artist statements by considering ways in which art influences our perception and understanding of the human experience.

April 4 – May 2; Saturdays, 3:30 – 5:30pm

Explore the time-honored and zany world of Caricature drawing. Master the art of manipulating the size and scale of key facial features to capture the likeness of your favorite celebrity. Upgrade techniques usually performed by hand with computer aided drawing and unleash your creative power! Tuition includes Lab fees and materials.

April 5 – May 3; Sundays, 4:00 – 6:00pm

Will the real Banksy please stand up? Study the importance of printmaking and stencil-work as they connect to the Pop Art and Street Art movements, then use your artistic talent to comment on the world around you. Previous experience with basic drawing or art class strongly encouraged. Tuition includes materials.

This easy access photography class uses the portable power of the camera-phone to teach the basics of lighting and composition. Memories are made every day. Be ready to capture the moment like a pro and share it with your friends! Tuition includes Lab fees and materials.
